State of Madhya Pradesh has one of the highest maternal mortality in the country. Healthcare workers play a significant role as first contact with community and can contribute to overall improvement in women's health.
Keeping this in mind, unique initiative of “JEEVANDAYANI” webinar series was started by Safe Motherhood Committee AMPOGS.
First of this series was conducted on June 2nd in association with Ratlam, Sagar and Jabalpur OBGYN Society. Theme for first Webinar was Hypertension in Pregnancy.
Guest of honour was Dr Aruna Kumar, Director Maternal Child Health NHM, who spoke about importance of regular and correct BP measurement and timely referral.
First talk was delivered by Dr Kaveri Shaw Patel, member FOGSI Safe Motherhood Committee on how to measure BP correctly.
This was followed by talk on Eclampsia preparedness and management by Past Vice President West Zone Dr Lila Vyas, Jaipur.
AMPOGS President Prof & Dean Dr Kavita N Singh gave words of encouragement and stressed on importance of correct BP cuff size and technique.
Program was conducted by Dr Dolly Mehra, Dr Deepti Gupta and Dr Jagrati Kiran Nagar.
About 300 Nursing staff attended and benefitted from the program.

Monthly Quiz for Post-Graduates
Monthly quiz for post-graduates (initiative of Young Talent Promotion Committee AMPOGS) started with the first quiz held on 30th June.
The topic of the quiz was “Pre Term Labour” in which 25 students participated enthusiastically.

First episode of monthly webinar AMPOGS Academia was conducted on 6th July.
Chief Guest Padmashri Dr Leela Joshi, Guest of Honour Secretary General FOGSI Dr Madhuri Patel, and Past VP FOGSI Dr Archana Baser blessed the program.
VP FOGSI Dr Girija Wagh spoke on: “Why are preterm birth on rise in India, prediction and prevention of preterm birth” .
VP FOGSI Dr Charmila Ayaavoo spoke on: “Management of early and late onset FGR” .

2nd PG Quiz – Multiple Pregnancy
The 2nd PG Quiz was conducted by the Young Talent Promotion Committee, AMPOGS under the guidance of Dr. Varuna Pathak on 28th July.
The quiz was based on the topic “Multiple Pregnancy” and witnessed enthusiastic participation from postgraduate students.

AMPOGS Academia Episode 2 was conducted on 3rd August 2024.

Dr. Gorakh Mandrupkar spoke on “Reducing Maternal Morbidity and Mortality in HDP”.

Jeevadayani Episode 2 – Breastfeeding
Jeevadayani Episode 2 on breastfeeding was held on 29th August 2024 by Safe Motherhood Committee members Dr. Dolly Mehra and Dr. Jagrati Kiran Nagar.
Dr. Aruna Kumar was the Guest of Honour.
Dr. Neerja Puranik spoke on breastfeeding, with special demonstration of various feeding and latching positions, challenges faced, and how support staff can play a crucial role in implementation of effective exclusive breastfeeding.
AMPOGS Academia Episode 3
AMPOGS Academia Episode 3 on 7th September. PG case presentation by team GMC Bhopal. Dr Charu and Dr Tashi were presenters mentored by Dr Shabana Sultan and Dr Bharti Parihar. Dr Anjali Kanhere and Dr Manisha Jain were assessors.
Synergy Webinar with AMPOGS Perinatology Committee
Synergy webinar with AMPOGS Perinatology Committee on 10th September. Topic was "Pearls of Fetal Medicine". Prof. Dr. Kavita N. Singh graced as Chief Guest, and Prof. Dr. Y. Gaur joined as Special Guest.

ICOG Academics and Perspectives webinar on 22nd October by ICOG in association with AMPOGS.
ICOG Chairperson Elect Dr Parag Biniwale introduced ICOG to members.
Prof. Dr. Anupama Dave spoke on "How to Develop Research Interest" and Prof. Dr. Gita Guin spoke on "How to Overcome Research Hurdles".
Sessions were chaired by Prof. Dr. Rekha Wadhwani, Prof. Dr. Vrunda Joshi, Prof. Dr. Beenu Kushwah and Dr. Jagrati Kiran Nagar.

AMPOGS Academia episode was conducted on the occasion of World AIDS Day on 2nd December 2024.
The theme of the program was “Take the Right Path: My Health, My Right!”
Prof. Dr. Shashi Khare graced the event as Chief Guest.

Quiz for postgraduates was conducted on 16th March 2025 on the topic Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB).
The quiz was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Varuna Pathak, who served as the Quiz Master.
APRIL 2025 – MARCH 2026
Episode 40 on Emergency Obstetrics
AMOGS in association with AMPOGS Episode 40 on Emergency Obstetrics was conducted online.
AMPOGS President Prof. Dr. Kavita N. Singh and AMOGS President Dr. Kiran Kurtkoti were the Chief Guests. Padmashri Dr. Leela Joshi and Dr. Neena Gideon were the Guests of Honour.
Dr. Deepti Gupta, Secretary AMPOGS, was the Convener. Dr. Vandana Gupta, Dr. Jyoti Chauhan, Dr. Aditi Rathore, and Dr. Ruby Reja served as Chairpersons.
Dr. Beenu Singh Kushwah spoke on Prevention of Hypertensive Disorders of Pregnancy, and Dr. Anupama Dave spoke on Management of HDP.
Dr. Padma Shukla and Dr. Sunita Wadhwani joined the panel as experts, which was moderated by Dr. Sneha Bhuyar.

FOGSI UNICEF Certificate Course on Perinatal Mental Health
FOGSI UNICEF Certificate Course on Perinatal Mental Health was conducted in association with AMPOGS.
The online program was successfully conducted on 26th October 2025.
Born Too Soon
AMPOGS Academic Webinar Shrinkla in association with IOGS was conducted on 17th November 2025 on the topic “Born Too Soon”.
Dr. Archana Baser served as Program Director, Prof. Dr. Kavita N. Singh as President AMPOGS, Dr. Deepti Gupta as Secretary AMPOGS, and Dr. Sushmita Mukherjee as Convener of the program.
Dr. P. K. Shah and Dr. Yashodhara Pallam Reddy graced the program as Guest of Honour and Chief Guest respectively.
Prof. Dr. Kavita N. Singh delivered a lecture on “Preterm Birth – Global Challenges”. The session was chaired by Dr. Sumitra Yadav and Dr. Rita Mishra.
Dr. Archana Baser spoke on “Emergency and Planned Cervical Cerclage with Innovation”. This session was chaired by Dr. Sunita Wadhwani and Dr. Rakhi Bajpai.
The panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Sushmita Mukherjee and Dr. Anju Verma.
