State of Madhya Pradesh has one of the highest maternal mortality in the country. Healthcare workers play a significant role as first contact with community and can contribute to overall improvement in women's health.
Keeping this in mind, unique initiative of “JEEVANDAYANI” webinar series was started by Safe Motherhood Committee AMPOGS.
First of this series was conducted on June 2nd in association with Ratlam, Sagar and Jabalpur OBGYN Society. Theme for first Webinar was Hypertension in Pregnancy.
Guest of honour was Dr Aruna Kumar, Director Maternal Child Health NHM, who spoke about importance of regular and correct BP measurement and timely referral.
First talk was delivered by Dr Kaveri Shaw Patel, member FOGSI Safe Motherhood Committee on how to measure BP correctly.
This was followed by talk on Eclampsia preparedness and management by Past Vice President West Zone Dr Lila Vyas, Jaipur.
AMPOGS President Prof & Dean Dr Kavita N Singh gave words of encouragement and stressed on importance of correct BP cuff size and technique.
Program was conducted by Dr Dolly Mehra, Dr Deepti Gupta and Dr Jagrati Kiran Nagar.
About 300 Nursing staff attended and benefitted from the program.

Monthly quiz for post-graduates (initiative of Young Talent Promotion Committee AMPOGS) started with the first quiz held on 30th June.
The topic of the quiz was “Pre Term Labour” in which 25 students participated enthusiastically.
